YouthWHAT IS PROJECT TRY?
Some children are shy, withdrawn, or overly active in a classroom situation. Others may be experiencing difficulties with learning. Still others may have difficulty getting along with others, or may find it difficult to stand up for themselves. Sometimes children need help coping with life situations. i.e... parental separation or divorce, family illness or death.
These children would benefit from our Project TRY program.
Project TRY is an early intervention program designed to identify and eliminate the stumbling blocks to learning so that the child can have a positive school experience. It requires no extra cost for parents.
HOW DOES PROJECT TRY WORK?
Each child accepted into the program is assigned to a Child Associate. The Child Associate works with the child outside the classroom setting for approximately 30 minutes once a week. There are special areas set up (playroom settings) where the child and the Child Associate work individually or in small groups, depending on the child’s needs.
