    2020-2021 School Year

    The Williamson Central School District has a well-established Universal Pre-Kindergarten program at our Elementary School.  Any child within the district, who will be four years of age by December 1, 2020, may be enrolled. (Students with birth dates between 12/2/2015 and 12/1/2016).  

    Information packets will be mailed to families who have completed the
    district census form on February 1, 2020. 

    Please mark your calendar with the important dates noted below:
    Parent Information Night

    March 4, 2020, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
    Elementary School Library

    At this time, you will hear information about the program.  No registrations will be processed at the Parent Information Night.

    UPK Registration Day

    March 11, 2020, 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Elementary School Main Office Conference Room

    This is also the time for Kindergarten registration, if you have a student who is entering Kindergarten in September 2020.  Registrations for UPK will be accepted in the District Office through March 15th to be included in the initial lottery drawing. Any late registrations will be honored if slots still exist. If the program is full, registrations received after March 15th will be placed on a wait list. 

    At the time of registration, your child will be given an appointment for a screening during the week of March 16th.

    Notifications of placements will be mailed home the week of March 23th.

    New York State Public Health Law, Section 2164, requires that all students entering school in New York State must be immunized or have a medical or religious exemption from such immunizations. As required by NYS Public Health Law all students enrolled in a pre-school program are required to show proof that the child has had a blood lead test. Every child must be fully immunized according to ACIP/CDC guidelines, please contact your child’s pediatrician if you have any questions. A dental assessment form is also enclosed to be completed and returned at your convenience. 

    The following forms are required on registration day:

    • Completed Registration Form
    • UPK Choice Form
    • Home Language Questionnaire (HLQ)
    • Student Transportation Form (if transportation is requested)

    In addition to the completed forms, the following information will also be needed:

    • Current Immunization Record
    • Health Certificate /Appraisal Form (including Lead Screening Information) +*
    • Dental Assessment Form (not required at time of registration)
    • Proof of Residency
    • Proof of Age
