Student Supports
Special Education
The Office of Special Education is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our students. Williamson staff works to ensure all students are provided appropriate and rigorous educational programs and services. In order to meet each student's individual needs and ensure success in their educational program, the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) are responsible for recommendations regarding the identification, evaluation and programming for children who require special education services.

Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
The Williamson Central School District is committed to educating the whole child to promote success in all areas of development. MTSS is a multi step process of supporting students academically, emotionally, and behaviorally. This process has three tiers, all of which provide differing levels of support.
Tier 1 Interventions:
- Behavioral and academic practices are implemented to support all students.
Tier 2 Interventions:
- Staff provide supplemental behavioral and academic interventions to students who require additional support.
Tier 3 Interventions:
- Individualized behavioral and academic interventions are implemented to support students with the greatest needs.
