Welcome to my classroom website!
Please check to see what is going on in your child's math class by accessing the appropriate calendar. Email is a quick and efficient way for you to check in and get specifics on your child's progress. The Parent Portal on School Tool is another way that will give you an idea of your child's progress academically. Please email me with any questions/suggestions at ccomstock@williamsoncentral.org.
This is my 25th year teaching at Williamson and I continue to strive to give your children the best possible education I can in mathematics. I was a Civil Engineer before becoming a teacher and I've taught grades 9-12 and a variety of levels. I am the K-12 Math Coordinator and I have been Williamson's Math coordinator for 20 years. I currently Coach Varsity Boys/Girls Indoor Track and Varsity Boys Outdoor Track which is a passion of mine as well as being on the Scholarship committee. On a personal level, I'm a happily married man to my wife Molly and have three wonderful daughters, Morgan, Marissa, and Courtney. I enjoy lifting weights in my free time and playing fantasy baseball/fantasy football as well as spending time with my family. I'm looking forward to working with your children on a day to day basis!
Algebra 2 students will be watching math videos online as part of a flipped classroom learning strategy off of youtube. For the weekly assignment, they can go the Algebra 2 icon and see the weekly assigned video. Students may also use the videos as a resource to reinforce learning as some of the questions out of each lesson are from the video. They would go to youtube, type in the name of the lesson and algebra 2 and the majority of them are done by Kirk Weiler. If a student is absent, they can watch the video for the missed lesson online and then get extra help on the RR's (practice) of the various lessons.
