The Williamson Central School District concluded three days of comprehensive New Teacher Orientation for 11 educators new to the district on Friday, August 15. The final day of instruction consisted of informational sessions pertaining to multiple tiers of support (MTSS), collaborating with support staff such as school psychologists and counselors, finding purpose as an educator, and more.

Following these instructional sessions, participants were given a guided bus tour of Williamson to experience and understand the community they would be serving. The day ended with ice cream courtesy of Yia-Yia’s Ice Cream Shoppe, a Williamson favorite.

The New Teacher Orientation program is designed to welcome educators who are new to the district, build connections, and ensure they are well-prepared to begin the school year with confidence. This comprehensive approach to orientation reflects WCSD’s commitment to equipping educators with the tools, knowledge, and relationships needed to succeed, while ensuring a warm and supportive welcome into the district’s culture of excellence.
