Our Woods Committee has been working hard to clear the trails in the wooded lot behind the Middle and Elementary buildings!

Earlier this year, the DEC conducted an assessment of this acreage and provided a Forest Stewardship Plan for the land. We have lots of interactive ideas for utilizing the space — everything from a fairy garden and outdoor stage to scientific data collection stations and studies in dendrology and botany.

Many thanks to our volunteers, especially Jason Beardsley, a community member and arborist who has really helped move this initiative forward.
